"Kelly brings exceptional strength in editorial development, storytelling, and social media strategy, consistently elevating the quality and impact of digital communications. As a valuable member of the Maimonides Medical Center Marketing and Communications team, Kelly played a key role in shaping and strengthening the hospital’s voice across social media, helping to grow our audience and engagement in a meaningful way. Her strong relationships with the press contributed to increased visibility for our clinicians, securing notable media coverage that complemented the content she developed and published across our channels. Kelly was also instrumental in internal, external, and crisis communications during COVID-19, managing a high volume of press inquiries while our community was at the epicenter of the outbreak in the U.S., often working long and demanding hours under unprecedented conditions. She is a thoughtful collaborator, highly reliable, and brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution to her work. I would gladly recommend her for any communications project."
— Ron Sohn, Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Digital Strategy (2016-2020), Maimonides Medical Center

“As Editor of simply-communicate, Kelly led the reporting team and directed the editorial content of the site with passion and dedication. She ran our weekly editorial conferences and delivered an excellent weekly magazine month after month. During that time the readership grew from a handful of internal communications professionals to 124,000 visitors each year. Some of the articles that Kelly personally wrote were downloaded tens of thousands of times. One year, our readership grew by as much as 60%. In her editorial duties, Kelly is always diligent, professional, and versatile. She even wrote and anchored our monthly web tv program – simplyTV – and represented simply-communicate at major events around the world. Having interviewed hundreds of leading figures in Corporate Communications, Kelly has forged strong relationships with many large companies, helping them to enhance their communications platforms while growing and engaging their audiences.”

“I first worked with Kelly Kass more than 20 years ago, during her Simply Communicate days, when she was producing video reports on internal communication. She interviewed me with the skill of an experienced network news correspondent — thoroughly prepared, calm on camera, and uncannily good at finding the question that surfaced what actually mattered. Decades on, her editorial instincts are sharper than ever: she knows how to listen, how to find the story inside the subject, and how to turn it into copy that resonates with the people you're trying to reach. Any organization lucky enough to work with Kelly is in very capable hands.”

“Kelly is a communicator of multiple talents, and I should know, because I've worked with her over the years in her role as a videographer, a video editor, a communications manager, and a writer and editor. She has a great eye for what is so critical in communications today: being visual, without being superficial, and being concise, without abandoning storytelling. Kelly tackles all of these tasks with good humor and a spirit of collaboration. In her reporting and writing, she has demonstrated time and again her ability to put people at ease and emerge with a thoughtful and enlightening story.”

“I have worked with Kelly for several years on projects ranging from web content to editorial pieces. She is a joy to work with - not only because her editing skills are superb but because she also has an uncanny knack for almost reading your thoughts and getting them down on paper exactly the way you wish you could if you had the writing talent she has! Kelly is always responsive to calls and comments, and is amazing at helping you meet whatever deadline or emergency you are faced with. More importantly, her editorial skills have helped me increase my lecture bookings, media appearances, and forensic client base. Having Kelly on board will certainly ensure the success of your project.“

“During our time working together at NYC Health + Hospitals, Kelly played an integral role in enhancing our internal communications and increasing traffic on our intranet. Kelly helped to develop a popular weekly intranet feature, “Thanks for the Work You Do,” which recognized outstanding employees who contributed to a positive patient experience. As a communications consultant, Kelly also worked closely with the hospital’s fundraising team, developing a successful social media plan to create meaningful content and boost The Fund for NYC Health + Hospital’s online presence. She also raised awareness about a citywide ant-gun violence initiative, Guns Down, Life Up (GDLU), building and managing social media pages and quickly growing the number of followers on the platforms, including connections with prominent thought leaders committed to gun violence prevention. You could often find Kelly at City Hall rallies or local conferences, providing live coverage of key messaging from elected officials, emergency room physicians, or families impacted by gun violence. Kelly also helped to create engaging content on the hospital’s Arts in Medicine website that showcased vibrant artworks featured in multiple healthcare facilities. Kelly’s excellent writing, extensive communications experience, and wonderful people skills make her an asset to any project she is working on.”
